Simon Ashmore, the driving force behind Azhora, has been immersed in the world of business networking for the past decade. In that time he has worked with business networks as manager and member on a local, regional, and national level. He has lectured on business to business networking in the Baltic States, Hungary and South Africa as well as in the UK. Prior to that a 10 year career in the Army’s front line logistics gave him operational experience in testing environments. He now concentrates on the technology that can help business networks to operate effectively, drawing all the time on his experience in the real world.

“Managing a business network of some 2000 members I quickly found that whilst technology was potentially a valuable asset it could also be prohibitively expensive with no guarantee to deliver. In those days I struggled through by trial and error, with no pattern to follow and had to learn quickly. A desire to share that real world experience led to me establishing Azhora. I have always been an advocate of technology but at the same time am not blinded by it. Just because technology makes something possible doesn’t make it the right choice.”

At Azhora we try to find technology that adds value rather than extra work. Where we don’t have the expertise in house we will only use or recommend partners with a track record of success in their field.
